Field Trip

Today I went with Kathryn and her class on a field trip to the Huntsville Botanical Gardens. Wow what an experience it was. To see the beauty of God's work amazes me. Believe it or not it was a tranquil place even if the kids were running around.

As a Christian I miss the every day splendor of Gods work in creation. Today took me on a path of realization of how important it is to stop and smell the roses (I mean that literally). Genesis 1:1 says "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." WOW, he created this earth and all that is in it. What a might God we serve!

Check these pictures out and see how God has the whole world in his hands. Hope you enjoy!
P.S. Thank you to Shepherds Place for making this possible!

Amy's Birthday

My sister has celebrated her 38th birthday tonight.  I have been very blessed to not only have her as a sister but to have her as a friend.  She loves my girls like they are her own and they love her too, more than words can express.

I am thankful that sometimes she is able to tell me the truth on things (even though she and I don’t always agree).   I am thankful for the support that she gives me when I need to vent my feelings.  I am thankful that she makes me want to be a better Christian.  I am thankful that she encourages me when I need it and the list of thankful goes on and on. So Happy Birthday from one sister to another, I love you very much!

We didn’t really do anything special other than be together.  Glad that is all my family needs is a little Kraut and Winnies to satisfy the soul.  Thanks Momma for cooking it was great!

My sister's blog

I haven’t blogged in a while but I wanted to share a great new blog.  My sister has wanted to do a blog for quite some time and has finally been able to start one.  She is so much better with creativity and ideas to share with people.  Me not so much, never the less I am very excited for her.  When you have time visit her blog.  She has tons of great things to share.  www.atopahill.blogspot.com

Update on the Norton Family

I haven’t blogged in a while so I just wanted to do an update.  We have been busy here in the last few months.

In February, Kathryn had her Valentine’s Day party at school.

Then we all went out that night for a family Valentines date.

Kathryn and Eli had a blast during Spring Break.  They are so creative!

Kathryn went for a cleaning at the dentist and we found out that she was going to have to have some teeth pulled

Here is a picture of Ruby showing out.

Kathryn and I went on a field trip with her class to the Chattanooga Aquarium.

Kathryn has her teeth pulled.  She is now snaggle tooth.

We enjoy a warm weekend outside!

Ruby gets her first haircut.  She hates the cape.  Guess we won’t be batgirl for Halloween.

We went to see the Easter Bunny.

Kathryn and Eli had Easter parties at school.

Kathryn dying Easter eggs.

Check out what the bunny left at our house!

Hopefully the last cool day of Spring!

This has been our last few months!  Can't wait to blog some more later!!
